31 guests' feedbackIt was very hot, but luckily the unit was equipped with air conditioners in the bedrooms. The unit is well equipped and everything worked. Lovely family that received me. I was very close to where I needed to be in Richards Bay. Plenty of storage space in the cupboards. Very economical accommodation and I will definitely stay there again.
Owners particularly helpful. Also respected our privacy. Would highly recommend.
The visit was nice and peaceful. The beach was clean. People were very friendly.

I went on business and checked into The Nest. I woke up the first morning to take a shower, only to find that the faucets were terribly difficult to open. I got it open after a while but couldn't get it closed again. I sent Tanya a Whatsapp early in the morning and informed her about the problem because the shower was still spraying water and I can't get the taps to close. She messaged me back to say that the previous guests had also complained and she got the taps turned off with ease. She then later went in to close the taps but couldn't get it closed either. She then texted me that she couldn't do anything about it until I left. I texted her back that I had to travel back to JHB the next day and it was going to be difficult to sleep with the noise the running water was making. She just didn't answer me plain and simple and avoided me with great difficulty. Point 1: someone complained about it and she did nothing about it. Point 2: taps don't just turn on overnight, it's from a long time of no maintenance. Point 3: they could do something about it but just chose not to do anything about it. I wish the previous people had put it on review then I would never have checked in there.
Enjoyed my stay at The Nest in Richards Bay.

Received SMS that we could book earlier, what a bonus, location perfect with washing machine if you wanted to do laundry, got nicest welcome letter on bed, she had special book of things to do and where to eat which helped a lot . Very friendly and the house is just as beautiful. 2 bedrooms with air conditioning, nice kitchen, crockery, everything in great condition. The surprise was that there was a barbecue. Small braai outside with a nice sitting area to relax after a day at sea.

The room was not prepared properly when I arrived. There was old food in the microwave and no coffee. The host apologised and sorted it out.
We were only in Meer en See for 2 nights. The place we booked was perfect for the short time that we were there. We basically just slept in the room provided. Very neat and clean. We had everything that we needed. Proper coffee provided for the mornings. Comfortable beds and pillows. Clean and complete bathroom with outstanding water pressure for the shower. Clean and very neat cupboards for personal things. Wifi, Netflix and Showmax available at all times. We did not see or meet any other guests or the owners so it was very private. Thank you so much. It was a fantastic weekend.

I have no complaints about The Nest. It was clean and quiet. The hosts were friendly but not intrusive. It was clean. Did miss not having a TV in the room though.
Exactly as on the website. We did hope, however, to have a microwave in the unit. We had a few up and down moments, but enjoyed the stay.
A bigger fridge would be a bonus to be able to store food and drinks to prevent them from spoiling.
